Comenius report from Paula D. (7th grade, left)

Paula

From 21st.11.- 27th.11.2010 we (7students and two teachers) were in Spain. We had a long and strenuous journey on Sunday, still we were in a youth-club in the evening.

Monday we were at school and met the other Comenius participants too. Everybody got a map with the timetable of the week, a card from Almansa and a workmap (for the week). The teacher had to give some lectures on Almansa and Spain and we were in some lessons.

Tuesday we met us at the police station. We made a bicycle-tour but some bikes went broken. This people were driven with the police. Three police cars before and behind us escorted us. Our destination was a education path in a little village near Almansa.

GroupAfter that we visited the castle and got a lot of information. It was a very interesting day.

On Wednesday we were at a wind farm. But it was very foggy and because of that you could see only two wind turbines. Later we made a boat trip close to two nuclear power stations. The water was turquoise (some people meant it was from the nuclear power stations) and the scenery was very beautiful. Ana and their parents showed me a little bit from Almansa and the area in the afternoon.

Thursday: Today we were in Valencia. We saw the city with a lot of buildings with an interesting architecture. Later we were at the "Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias" but before that we had 1½ h time for shopping in a shopping center opposite the building complex.

We couldn't see the complex from inside because there was no time! But still it was very impressive.

FlagsFriday was the last morning for the English people. At 8:30o'clock we met at school. The presentation ceremony from a photo competition was in the libary. The photos had to have a Mathematical concept. It was not so easy, but Ana and I won :). Besides all countries exchanged the flags.

After that we drove all by bus to the airport in Alicante. There was a farewell with a lot of tears!

Without the English we drove to Alicante city. There we could see the Mediterranean sea. We got a little Sightseeing tour and we had about 2 hours for shopping.

In the evening we were at a farewell party for the Comenius people in the youth-club "GAUDI" from the first day. It was very funny and long ;).

The farewell Saturday morning was very sad and with a lot of tears from the Spanish people. The way and the flight was okay but in Germany it was cold!!

IT WAS A VERY BEAUTIFUL AND INTERESTING TRIP
